‘When people complain about how much better the ‘look’ of the series was before Moffat took over, I wonder if we watched the same show. I cannot understand how something filmed in 2005-2009 should look that amateur. Camera angles, lighting, everything.’
In short… amateur my ass.
Slathering everything in blue does not “professional” make.
more evidence that this is bullshit?
First of all, people forget that DW had a really low budget when it started. It’s now shot in high def and has a shitload more money behind it.
And the first series is far more quality than the last, even without all the pretty lens flares.
For fuck’s sake… this fandom needs to come to terms with the fact that a) its the same fucking show with a lot of the same technical people regardless of who the head writer is, b) Russel T. Davies, David Tennant, and Billie Piper are never coming back, and c) The show has been going on for a fuck of a lot longer than the six seasons that everyone seems to bitch, and moan, and be all hipsterish and bloody-minded about.
Now, sit your whining fucking arses down, and fucking watch the show, or if you’re such a precious fucking snowflake that you can’t fucking deal with the fact that change has occurred, and will fucking occur - because hey, it’s Doctor fucking Who - then stop watching it for fuck’s sake.
Now, for any special snowflake who is offended by my words: Come at me bro.
I don’t understand how anything you’re talking about is relevant to explaining that the whole show is beautiful—not just the high definition, well-funded stuff.
Perhaps you’re just a bit hateful yourself, and you can’t deal with people loving earlier series. And it’s not like we don’t know the show has a rich, long history. But S1 with Nine is the beginning of the reboot.
I agree. I also agree that the show changed when Moffat came about, but still, Doctor Who is Doctor Who. From the sixties to now. If you really want to make a comparison like this, at least compare all the different Cybermen and how cheesy all of them are because that’s what Cybermen are!
